The Global Shield Solutions Platform (GSSP) is pleased to announce that GSSP and International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) are collaborating to provide insurance regulators and supervisors continued access to high-quality self-directed learning.

The Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) will be hosted and convened by CGAP effective 1 July 2025. The current Connect.A2ii platform will be replaced by the digital platform of the GSSP, hosted by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Frankfurt School). Trainings currently available on Connect.A2ii will be accessible to supervisors via the new platform.

Across their various mandates, supervisors can play a role in supporting sustainable (re)insurance sector development and enabling solutions toward closing protection gaps in climate and disaster risk finance and insurance (CDRFI). The new platform will create opportunities for insurance supervisors and CDRFI stakeholders to connect, thus enabling a space for exchange, learning and closer collaboration.

Trainings are expected to be re-released on the new GSSP platform in batches over the period of Q3-Q4 2025. To stay updated and receive notifications of upcoming launches, please register your interest by contacting gssp@fs.de

Managed by Frankfurt School, GSSP is a multi-donor grant facility and one of the financing vehicles under the Global Shield against Climate Risks. The Global Shield was launched at COP27 by the V20 and the Group of Seven (G7) with the goal of increasing protection for vulnerable people and countries and effectively addressing losses and damages exacerbated by climate change. GSSP promotes an inclusive, gender-sensitive, and demand-driven approach.
